DESIGN MATTERS WORKSHOP
Playtrain is hosting the DESIGN MATTERS WORKSHOP by East London based Discover, UK’s first hands-on story centre focusing exclusively on creativity through projects, exhibitions and activities exploring words, language and imagination. The workshop will demonstrate how arts can engage children in regeneration and the built environment.
Discover has devised and delivered a unique action research project for actively engaging children in the regeneration of Stratford, East London – giving the children hands on experience of design and environmental issues and the skills to influence how their environment might be shaped and used in the future.
The course is aimed at community engagement professionals; arts and design organisations working with communities on the built environment; participation workers and those involved with decision-making about urban regeneration issues.
The workshop will take place on
Thursday 11 June from 1.30 pm to 3.30pm
at the Old Post Building 149 - 153 Alcester Road, Moseley, Birmingham B13 8JW
