WOW! this is big - A foundation to participation

The findings from playtrain’s research into developing an age appropriate consultation methodology for involving children under 5 years of age in decision making, are available in the ‘WOW! this is big’ publication.

The findings challenge thinking about young children’s abilities, raise awareness about children’s rights and we hope will ultimately inspire change in the provision of services for all young children.

Creativity in Early Learning

This video and training package illustrates how creativity can be placed at the very centre of children’s learning and how creative activities can promote all areas of children’s development and learning.

The video takes the form of a journey which visits Whitnash Nursery, Garrets Green Nursery, Bilston Craft Gallery and Jones Woods to see artists, practitioners and parents working creatively with pre-school children.

The pack contains information about child development, thoughts on the role of creativity in young children’s development and eighteen training exercises which look at a wide range of issues around creativity in the Early Years.
